Dreams

Bad dreams galore these days. Wonder what’s up with that? The strange thing, of course, is that I am sure I can “fix” it. I mean, I am concerned about the part of my consciousness that is harboring anxiety and dread and spitting out all these bad dreams. Usually I am a deep, dreamless sleep kind of gal (in part because of the lack of sleep due to Ashtanga practice — I’m exhausted by bedtime and don’t have any extra energy for dreams).

Picked up The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep. Meditation/awareness is stabilizing so nicely in practice and in waking life — guess it’s time to get a move on with the dream yoga, too.

And while I’m sounding like a crackpot, I’ll put in a plug for the best dream book ever: Dreams and Projections of Consciousness. Because once you have your dream yoga squared away, what’s more fun than projecting your consciousness? Wheeeee!

  1. I used to have deep–well, not dreamless, but calm–sleep. I have a lot of weird, intense dreams these days. It IS disconcerting; what’s going on in the subconscious/unconscious/whatever?

Those books look like interesting reading. ;) (You’ll have to give us reports!)
